Using 3D-printed phone dummies and various paper cutouts pinned to the plastic phones, Akbar tries to present visuals of blue skies radiating through the cityscapes. He raises ideas about how information is ubiquitous that challenges perceptions and questions viewing experience held by the audience, where mobile phones become the primary device to access such information.
M. Akbar is an artist working with video, moving images, digital renditions, multimedia, and papercutting, also interested in the perception of watching and being watched. He asks the viewers to question the duality and their awareness of the social control in the screen culture.
