Saw and Drill is a video work in the TV Tortoure series i made, i was having an experiment with sound and how sound make real time interlace or distorted screen by creating high gain harshy noise sound which affects the TV monitor by hacking in through the audio input.
this series was my first experiment, the idea of torture came refered to the concept of creation process, the function of hardware/tools basically by torturing or destroying some materials little by little, the torture organized by a blue print of a human brainware which is in certain time it represents the process of creation, by the end of the process of the torture, it creates a object.
these two torture method was exhibited in “Metaphoria” 15x15x15 scale base artwork project vol.2 2008 at Soemardja Gallery in ITB.
